Dylan Bates
About Me
Hello! My name is Dylan, I am a fourth-year student at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I am pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Aerospace and Robotics.Â
Throughout my college career, I have pursued many opportunities to explore my interests in mechanical engineering, specifically aerospace, robotics, and product design. I have completed two co-op work experiences so far, my first was at GE Aerospace and the second at Berkshire Grey. Please see my Work Experience page for more information. I have also obtained engineering project experience through Northeastern's Mars Rover Team, as well as through Northeastern's drone club (NUAV).
Outside of work, my passion lies primarily in the world of soccer. I've played competitively since I was a kid and continued this passion in college through intramurals and the BSSL men's league. I enjoy spending free time watching soccer league around the world, primarily the English Premier League. I also have interests in staying active, watching movies and TV shows, and traveling.
I am currently searching for my third and final co-op for July through December, before graduating in May of 2026. This website showcases the skills and experiences I have developed over the course of my career so far. Enjoy!
My Projects
Throughout my four years at Northeastern, I have had the opportunity to work on several projects, whether it be for co-ops, classes, or clubs. As a mechanical engineer, these projects developed my skills in multiple disciplines, such as SolidWorks, 3D printing, laser cutting, and much more.
